Singers are definitely getting lazy using Autotune software. It was something that was unique and creative when Roger and Zapp created the sound. It was even welcomed when Blackstreet came on the scene with Teddy Riley to revisit this form of music alteration.

Rappers also embraced it when T-Pain took over the show with this voice box choruses that wrote another chapter in the Autotune handbook. It was only a matter of time, however, where something unique would change into a mainstream nightmare.

Singers that could sing started using it. Singers that couldn’t sing well were using it. Before long everyone was all clumped into together.Want more? Click here/tag It became difficult to tell who had talent anymore. It was a severe case of overkill for music fans. People grew tired of it because it detracted from the true art form of singing.

Today there are so many artists that are using it. It isn’t a rap thing. It isn’t an occasion R&B thing. AutoTune has become commercialized. Everyone is getting on board. Country artists, pop, and even some rock artists are putting their own stamp on this brand of new music. Unfortunately, it has really made talented people take a back seat.
